Synopsis
After a quiet man brings home a goldfish from a pet store, his ordinary life takes an extraordinary turn. In the silence of his room, the fish speaks — not with fear, but with painful wisdom. It questions its confinement in a glass bowl and shares the sorrow of a life meant to swim free, not be displayed. Moved by the fish’s words, the man begins to reflect on his own invisible cages — loneliness, routine, and emotional isolation. As their nightly conversations grow deeper, the fish becomes more than a creature — it becomes a voice for freedom. In a moment of liberation, the man releases the fish into a river and sets out to confront the pet shop owner. Fueled by empathy and anger, he demands the shutdown of the shop, challenging the ethics of animal captivity. This short film explores the universal desire for liberty through a surreal yet deeply human story, leaving viewers questioning the meaning of ownership, empathy, and what it truly means to be free.
